Behind The Log House, you can see the Herb and Flower Gardens which were the source of a variety of herbs and flowers. Great Grandmother's English roots would have required a large quantity of both.

Next to the Herb and Flower Gardens is the Vegetable Garden. It was the source of much of the family's food supply. Beans, corn, carrots, beets, and tomatoes were canned, cucumbers were pickled, cabbage was made into sauerkraut in crocks behind the wood stove, and the potatoes and squash were kept in the root cellar for winter.
