Pomeroy Living History Farm

Tour

Last you will come to the Thresher Shed.  It was used to store the massive Case grain thresher in addition to extra hay for the cattle.  Besides the separator, the pole structure now houses numerous other pieces of horse-drawn and tractor-drawn machinery.

Also in the vicinity is our 5hp Economy engine.  Such an engine was utilized in many different ways on the farm because it could be connected via belt to such implements as a corn grinder or feed cutter.

Now you are close to the parking lot, feel free to wander about the historic grounds at your leisure*.  We hope that your visit with us will not only be educational but entertaining as well.  Feel free to dialogue with any of the interpreters.  There is an outhouse next to the woodshed or a modern restroom is available for your convenience is the gift shop.

Photography for personal use is welcome. However, if it is for commercial purposes, it must be arranged through the farm manager.  Call (360) 686-3537 if you need any information.

*The farm is open to the public on the first full weekend of each month, June through September.
